Shop RVs by Weight
Know Your Numbers. Tow with Confidence.
The most important number in RVing isn't the price; it's the weight. Matching your trailer's weight to your vehicle's towing capacity is essential for safety and performance. We have categorized our inventory by "Dry Weight" (unloaded) to help you stay within your limits.
⚠️ Pro Tip: Always leave a safety margin. We recommend looking for a trailer where the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is less than your vehicle's maximum towing capacity.
Ultra-Light (Crossover Friendly) Towable by Minivans & SUVs.
-
Under 3,500 lbs: The lightest of the light. Perfect for Teardrops, Pop-ups, and single-axle trailers that standard V6 engines can handle.
-
Under 5,500 lbs: Stepping up to small bunkhouses and hybrids. This is the sweet spot for mid-size trucks (Tacoma/Colorado) and larger SUVs.
Mid-Range (Half-Ton Friendly) The industry standard for F-150 / 1500 Series trucks.
-
Under 8,500 lbs: The vast majority of standard travel trailers and "half-ton towable" fifth wheels live in this category.
-
Under 11,000 lbs: Pushing the limits of half-tons. These units are typically large multi-slide bunkhouses or mid-profile fifth wheels requiring a heavy-duty payload package or a 3/4 ton truck.
Heavy Duty (3/4 Ton & Up) Residential luxury & Toy Haulers.
-
Under 14,000 lbs: True luxury territory. Expect wide-body fifth wheels with residential appliances, requiring a F-250/2500 or F-350/3500.
-
Over 14,000 lbs: Massive toy haulers and rolling estates. These units are designed for dually trucks and extended stays.
