The "Payload Trap": Read This First

This is where most families get into trouble.

• The Problem: The Model X is heavy (due to the battery). This eats up your Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR).

• The Math: Most Model X vehicles have a payload sticker (in the door jamb) of 1,000 – 1,300 lbs.

• The Reality: A family of 4 (600 lbs) + Luggage (100 lbs) leaves only 300–600 lbs for the trailer tongue.
