The "Golden Rules" of EV Towing
1. The "50% Rule" (Range Reality) Physics is unavoidable. Towing a square travel trailer at highway speeds creates massive wind resistance.

The Rule: Expect to lose 30% to 50% of your rated range.

The Fix: If your EV has a 500 km range, plan to charge every 250 km. Don't push it.
2. Aerodynamics > Weight In a gas truck, weight kills fuel economy (city driving). In an EV, Wind Resistance kills range (highway driving).

The Strategy: A 4,000 lb low-profile trailer (like a Safari Condo Alto or Hi-Lo) will tow further than a 2,000 lb boxy cargo trailer. Buying an aerodynamic camper is the single best upgrade for an EV owner.
3. The "Unhitch Dance" Most public chargers are designed for solo cars (back-in spots).
