RV Winterization Service Beat the Freeze.

Save Your Plumbing.

In Canada, winter isn't just a season; it's a threat to your RV. When water freezes, it expands with incredible force, capable of splitting copper pipes, cracking plastic fittings, and bursting water heaters. A single missed low-point drain or a pocket of water left in a pump can result in thousands of dollars in damage come spring.

At Leisure Days RV Group, we take the guesswork out of winter storage. Our professional winterization service ensures that every drop of water is removed from your system and replaced with premium, non-toxic RV antifreeze, guaranteeing your rig survives the sub-zero temperatures.

What is Included?

Complete Water System Flush

We don't just open the drains and hope for the best.

  • Tank Draining: We completely drain the Fresh Water, Grey, and Black holding tanks.

  • Water Heater Bypass: We drain your water heater and engage the "bypass valves" to prevent antifreeze from wasting into the heater tank (which can damage the anode rod and leave a bad taste).

  • Antifreeze Fill: We pump non-toxic, propylene glycol-based RV antifreeze through the entire plumbing system—including the water pump, city water inlet, outdoor shower, and toilet valve.

  • Trap Protection: We pour antifreeze into every sink and shower P-Trap to prevent sewer gases from entering the coach and to stop the traps from freezing.

Appliance & Battery prep

  • Ice Makers & Washing Machines: These luxury appliances have hidden water lines that are notoriously difficult to winterize. We have the specific tools to cycle these units and get the water out.

  • Battery Disconnect: We advise on proper battery storage (or removal) to prevent them from freezing and cracking during the winter months.

The "Blow Out" vs. Antifreeze

Some owners prefer to use compressed air to "blow out" the lines. While effective if done perfectly, air often passes over low spots in the pipe where water settles. We recommend—and primarily use—the Antifreeze Method because it provides a visual guarantee. When pink fluid comes out of the faucet, we know the water is gone.

When Should You Winterize?

You need to winterize before the first hard frost hits. In our region, we recommend booking your appointment in late September or early October to beat the rush.
