RV De-Winterization & Spring Startup
Get Ready for the Camping Season.
Spring is here, and the open road is calling. But before you head out on your first trip, your RV needs to be properly "woken up" from its winter hibernation. Simply filling the tank with water isn't enough; you need to ensure that the plumbing is safe, the appliances are firing, and the "pink stuff" (antifreeze) is completely flushed out.
At Leisure Days RV Group, our De-Winterization Service is a comprehensive health check for your rig. We inspect the critical systems that may have been affected by freezing temperatures or inactivity to ensure your first trip is trouble-free.
What is Included?
1. Water System Flush & Sanitize We completely remove the non-toxic RV antifreeze from your plumbing lines.
-
Flushing: Running fresh water through all faucets, showers, and toilets until the water runs clear.
-
Sanitization: Treating the fresh water tank and lines to kill bacteria that may have grown during storage.
-
Bypass Reset: Resetting the water heater bypass valves to the "Summer" position.
2. Pressure Leak Test Winter is harsh. Even with antifreeze, fittings can crack or seals can dry out.
-
Pressurization: We pressurize your water system and monitor it for pressure drops.
-
Visual Inspection: checking under sinks and behind access panels for signs of leaks before they damage your floor.
3. Appliance & Safety Check We fire up the major systems to ensure they are ready for use.
-
Propane Appliances: Testing the water heater, furnace, refrigerator, and stove for proper ignition and flame color.
-
Batteries: Checking the voltage and water levels of your house batteries.
-
Tires: Inspecting tire pressure and sidewall condition after months of sitting stationary.
Why Professional De-Winterization?
While many owners flush their own lines, a professional service catches the hidden issues. A small crack in a PEX pipe behind a wall can cause thousands of dollars in water damage if not caught immediately during the initial pressurization. We give you the peace of mind that your RV is water-tight and road-ready.
Beat the Rush.
Spring is our busiest season. Schedule your De-Winterization early to ensure you are ready for the first long weekend of the year.
