Full-Time RV Financing

Living the Dream Shouldn't Be a Nightmare to Finance.

The "Van Life" and Full-Time RVing movements are exploding in popularity. However, many buyers are shocked when their personal bank denies their loan application the moment they mention they plan to live in the unit.

To a standard bank, an applicant with "No Fixed Address" is a high risk. They often view RVs strictly as "Recreational" vehicles, not residences.

At Leisure Days RV Group, we understand that your RV is your home. We have cultivated relationships with specific lenders who are friendly to the full-time lifestyle and understand the unique needs of modern nomads.

The Full-Timer Difference

1. "Primary Residence" Clauses

Most standard RV loan contracts have a clause stating the unit cannot be a primary residence. We work with lenders who waive this clause, ensuring your loan is valid and your insurance is enforceable.

2. Longer Terms for Lower Payments

When your RV is your house, monthly cash flow is king. We can structure loans with 240-Month Terms (20 years), making your "mortgage" payment significantly cheaper than renting an apartment.

3. Insurance & Protection

Full-timing puts more wear and tear on a rig than weekend camping. We help you secure Full-Timer's Insurance (similar to a home policy) and Extended Warranties that cover you even when you are thousands of kilometers from your selling dealer.

What Lenders Look For

To get approved as a full-timer, the criteria are slightly stricter:

  • Credit Score: Lenders generally look for a score of 700+ for full-time use.

  • Previous Homeownership: A history of paying a mortgage or stable rent helps.

  • Down Payment: Be prepared for a potential down payment of 10-20% to show commitment to the asset.
